A major Lasvegas travel tourist destination in the world, the world of Casinos and gambling cannot be without its share of events and festivals. Las Vegas has an impressive array of festivals and events. Some of the important Las Vegas events are listed below:
Third Monday in the month of January every year is celebrated as ‘Martin Luther King Jr Day’ and is an official holiday. Like in many other parts of the country and elsewhere, 1st January, the New Year’s Day too is an official holiday. The third Monday in February and the last Monday in May are official holidays on account of the “President’s day” and “Memorial day” respectively.
Independence day is celebrated on 4th July while the labor day falls on the first Monday in September. Second Monday in October is the Columbus Day and 11th November represents the Veterans Day.
The fourth Thursday in November is the Thanksgiving Day and Christmas on 25th December as in the other parts of the country and elsewhere.
Hell dorado days fall in the month of May while the Jaycee state fair is in November. Cine Vegas in June, Super Bowl in late January, and Madri Gras in Feb/March are important events for Las Vegas. World Series poker is celebrated during the months of July/August. Kentucky derby is celebrated during the month of May.
While making plans for your next travel to Las Vegas on vacation or business, you should equip yourself with complete knowledge of these events and festivals in the region. Some attractions and facilities tend to remain closed on these days. Yet another factor would be larger turnaround of local population.
