Fashion Show Mall

Fashion Show mall is located at 3200 Las Vegas Boulevard South on the prime land of Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Standing at 1,888,151 sq feet, it is one of the largest enclosed malls in the world. Owned by none other than General Growth Properties Inclusive the mall has over 200 stores and 7 anchors. Beside this, the mall features an elevated stage, the Cloud and a fashion runway.

The Cloud stands at 128 feet and has a length of approximately 480 feet. It serves multiple purposes. It acts as a shield against the hot Nevada sun during daytime and provides ample shades to all its visitors to travel Las Vegas during day. It acts as a movie screen during night. Fashion show mall as its name suggests holds special fashion show every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Besides being a platform for fashion industry to express itself, the mall has various other uses. It features various high end restaurants, most of which are accessible by private entrances made in order to accommodate distinguished clientele. Surprisingly the mall also has scheduled snowstorms during the winter holidays to keep things interesting.

With Bullock’s, Dillard’s, Goldwaters, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue as the main anchor stores the mall opened in 1981. Since than 2 more anchor stores have been added and the existing ones have expanded. The Neiman Marcus expanded to 160,000 sq feet from the previous 102,000 sq feet. Saks Fifth avenue alongside Dillard’s was relocated to the west end of the mall after a whole west end measuring 500,000 sq feet was added to the mall.

The expansion also led to the addition of cloud and an 11,000 sq foot food court, which is located on the 3rd level. General Growth properties purchased the previous owners Rouse thus gaining the ownership of Fashion show mall in 2004.
