Bellagio Fountains
Bellagio fountains are located at the Bellagio, which is AAA Five-Diamond, Five Star hotel and casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. To be put precisely it is located on the Las Vegas Strip in the Paradise area of Clark Country. Bellagio is renowned for its elegance and its 8 acre (32000 m2) artificial lakes, which also houses the fountains of Bellagio synchronized to music.
Bellagio is located at exactly the same spot as the legendary Dunes hotel and casino, which was demolished back in 1993. Conceived by Steve Wynn, Bellagio was constructed at a whopping cost of USD 1.6 billion by his company Mirage Resorts. The fountains alone are supposed to have cost around 75 million USD. The hotel as well as the fountain was designed by Marnell Corrao Associates and Jon Jerde.
Fountains of Bellagio are a huge, choreographed water schema with performances synchronized to light and music. They are located directly in front of Bellagio hotel and are visible from almost throughout the strip. The show takes place approximately every 30 minutes during afternoon and early evenings and every 15 minutes starting 8 p.m. to midnight.
A gong sound pre warns the tourists and visitors on Las Vegas NV travel alike to the fact that the water show is about to begin. Shows happen throughout year with the exception of windy days or if a planned event has to be organized. The most intriguing part of the fountains is that they are choreographed to different musical pieces.
The fountains have been set in a 9 acre area inside the artificial lake. The lake is actually serviced by a fresh water well, which was drilled decades ago to water the golf course, which existed on this site before. The fountains have more than 1200 nozzles and shows are staged coordinated with 4500 lights. Bellagio mountains are truly an awe-inspiring sight and a must visit for people who travel to Las Vegas Nevada or live in USA.
Have fun while visiting the city!
